PinkClouds collaborated with acclaimed artist Leigh Nisonson on this exclusive print inspired by PinkClouds. The original work is titled Light Box Aqua. Nisonson used oil paint on canvas, which was then transformed into a high resolution digital print that was transposed onto a silk georgette fabric. See Details for more product information.
The Light Box Aqua scarf is 50 inches by 50 inches. The generous size means the scarf can be worn in a variety of ways, either as a scarf or sarong. This print has shades of blue, black and grey. They have a pearl edge finish in navy. The scarf should be dry cleaned only.
Inspired by the PinkClouds aesthetic, Nisonson created two paintings that were then transformed into two striking prints. Her work explodes with energy, light and beauty. Her abstract paintings distort image, color and perception through the veil of water and narrative, dislocation of time and space. As a New York City native, Leigh is moved by color, fashion, architecture, public transportation systems, and the energy of a city in constant movement and experiencing constant change.
PinkClouds worked closely with digital printers to transpose Nisonson’s artwork onto high quality silk. The results are strikingly beautiful and these scarves have a modern, artistic quality that will stand the test of time.
